OUR UNAGED AGRICOLE
Pure Cane New Make is the first product release from the North Coast Bar Series of fresh, young agricole rums and cane spirits designed to be mixed in simple, refreshing ways that highlight the flavour and style of Northern NSW.
Pure Cane is perfect for mixing up our interpretation of the Caipirinhas (Kai-Pee-Reen-Yas) or Ti Punch as well as many simple, refreshing, back to basics cocktails.
- 60ml Pure Cane
- 4 lime wedges
- Teaspoon of Australian honey
- Teaspoon of brown sugar
- Grilled sugar cane (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill halfway with ice. Shake hard for 30 seconds and pour over ice into an old fashioned glass. Garnish with grilled sugar cane stick.
Light & Stormy
- 45ml Pure Cane
- Ginger Beer
- 1 lime wedge
- Dash of bitters (optional)
Pour Pure Cane & ginger beer over ice, squeeze over lime and add a dash of bitters.
North Coast Mojito
- 45ml Pure Cane
- 1/2 lime, juiced
- 2 tsp brown (raw) caster sugar
- 8 mint leaves
- Soda water
- Whatever fruit is in season – passionfruit, strawberries, stone fruit…
Put lime juice and sugar in a tall glass and stir under the sugar has dissolved. Place mint leaves in the palm of your hand and clap your palms together to release the oils. Add crushed ice, rum, seasonal fruit and a slash of soda and gently stir for 15 seconds. Garnish with mint leaves and a wedge of lime.
APPEARANCE: Crystal clear.
NOSE: Delightful and extremely vibrant fresh sugar cane, unrefined brown sugar, sweet and tangy exotic fruits and citrus. Very floral with hints of liquorice and vanilla.
TASTE: Crisp taste, gently tingling with sweet fruit followed by a light creaminess and grassy sugar cane.
FINISH: Very clean and dry finish with sugar cane and lingering tangy notes on the palate.
